TEHRAN The daughter of the Founder of Islamic Republic Imam Khomeini seriously criticized those who defame the late Leader of the Islamic Revolution under the pretext of supporting the revolution and the late Imam.

Mostafavi made the above remark at a conference to mark the sixth demise anniversary of the late Leader's son, Ahmad Khomeini, held in Tehran University on Saturday.

She said that some individuals are even trying to disgrace the late Leader's son in order to achieve their mischievous objectives.

"No political position was important for my brother. Following the demise of the Imam in 1989, he made great efforts to protect the system and the revolution," she stressed.

Mostafavi stressed that those who are trying to defame his late brother are not supporters of the revolution or the late Imam.

Ahmad Khomeini passed away in March 1994 as a result of heart and brain failure.
